Recently, a new open-to-all tournament called ‘Free Fire Brawler Bash’ was organised for all the Free Fire players, while an Invitational tournament called ‘FFBB Final Clash’ was also held during the same period. “Registrations begin on the 13th of August (in-game) and the FFC qualifier matches will go live on the 16th August!” the announcement read.

The tournament was initially announced in January, with a prize pool of INR 350K ($47K USD). Although the entire league stage was played out in the following months, LAN finals were halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown in the country. While initially announced that the finals would be held at a later date, Garena revealed that they had cancelled the tournament and the finals.

For this new edition of the tournament, regular players, who don’t have any eSports background, can participate with their squad by registering themselves. The system will host the Free Fire Cup (FFC) on 16th August from 4 PM to 9 PM IST and select the qualified teams. On the last day, there will be a Free Fire India Championship matchday, where players can play from 16:00 to 21:00 IST.

To qualify, players should make sure that their rank is at least on Diamond 1, and that they have reached level 40. By clicking the cup icon on the right side of their in-game home screen and choosing Free Fire India, players will be routed to a registration form. Players need to register and form a team of four players using the squad option in the tournament lobby screen.

Once successfully registered, users will receive eight tickets to use during the open qualifier matches at a scheduled time. On 24th August, the league qualifiers will start in-game. Dates are tentative and subject to change due to some unprecedented events. The competition is being organised by Garena and sponsored by Paytm First Games, who aims to take mobile eSports scenario to the next level.
