GodLike Esports and Orangutan will be heading to Paris for the competition, which takes place August 6, with a nearly $3 million prize pool handed out to the 32 strongest teams in the world. PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026: India’s Historic Qualification Journey
GodLike and Orangutan Earn Their Places
GodLike Esports wins the direct qualification to PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2026 from the top ten teams of the PUBG Mobile Premier of India (BMPS) with an impressive win versus 64 teams in the country’s premier BGMI tournament. Orangutan earned the spot through consistency earning 2,110 points in the season of the Krafton India Esports Rankings.
The dual pathways to qualification whet Indian esports credentials. One team won the right to be there through dominating in the national championship and one team proved his greatness through consistency throughout the year. 12B Sports have been closely following both teams all season.
Nepal Training Camp Solves a Unique Challenge
For both teams, relocating to Nepal was a major part of their preparations for the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026. However, PUBG Mobile wasn’t yet available in the country and players were compelled to travel abroad to navigate against international players.
According to reports, orangutan joked hard overseas against various teams from the World Cup in various scrimmages before he was given time to adjust to the World Cup version when he arrived in Paris. An extra investment in preparation demonstrates the drive of Indian organizations to fight at the top of their abilities as it comes to a host of logistical difficulties. This is one of the highlight stories that still have a long way to go to the tournament, 12B Sports said.
