The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in UAE is half-way to its 2020 season. Six of the eight teams have played five games so far while the other two have played two. It means, the virus-hit season is all set to enter its business phase. The IPL governing council is now going to the mid-season transfer, a phase in the tournament that allows franchises to internally trade players from one team to another.

Last season, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI had allowed a five-day window for uncapped players to be loaned mid-season, subject to the player not having featured in more than two games. This season, the board extended the offer to capped players too Indian or overseas – between teams at the halfway point in the season.

However, it is subject to rules such as: 1. player should not have played more than two matches when the transfer is taking place, 2. the transfer will only be applicable at the half-way mark in the league stage when the franchises have played 7 games each, and 3. the price to be paid for the players will be from outside the purse. Here is a list of franchise-wise players eligible for the mid-season transfer:
