12BET Predictions Rajasthan Royals vs Punjab Kings, IPL Match No. 4

12BET Predictions Rajasthan Royals vs Punjab Kings, IPL Match No. 4

Rajasthan Royals will face off against Punjab Kings in the fourth match of the Indian Premier League. Both teams will be out to impress after yet another uneventful IPL 2020. They will want to play really well and impress the fans. If they can perform well with the cricket bat, then they can win games more consistently.

Rajasthan Royals:

Letting go of Steve Smith is a big move from Rajasthan Royals this season. They would expect the likes of Chris Morris and David Miller to fire all through the tournament. Google cricket Pundits suggest that the move could pay off. The Royals will be playing under the young and fresh leadership of Sanju Samson, who will have to prove a lot as a batsman and skipper – his test starting against KL Rahul on Monday. The addition of Liam Livingston will give them some options to play within the order but at least for their first game Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, and Chris Morris should make the cut. It will be interesting to see how the 2008 champions utilize Andrew Tye’s services.

Rajasthan Royals squad: Sanju Samson (captain), Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler, Riyan Parag, Shreyas Gopal, Rahul Tewatia, Mahipal Lomror, Kartik Tyagi, Andrew Tye, Jaydev Unadkat, Mayank Markande, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Anuj Rawat, David Miller, Manan Vohra, Christopher Morris, Shivam Dube, Chetan Sakariya, Mustafizur Rahman, Liam Livingstone, K.C. Cariappa, Akash Singh, Kuldip Yadav.

Punjab Kings:

Having spent Rs 14 and Rs 7 crore on Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith and the entire hype around Dawid Malan might mean that three of the four overseas slots are already blocked for KL Rahul. The team might have a difficult selection between Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Chris Jordan and Moises Henriques – all fighting for the one spot. With Rahul and Mayank at the top, Dawid Malan, Deepak Hooda and Mandeep Singh to follow, Sarfaraz Khan will have a hard time fitting in. Arshdeep Singh, who had a good debut season in 2020, will have a lot to prove this year around. Shahrukh Khan is likely to get a place in the playing 11.

Punjab Kings squad: KL Rahul (c/wk), Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle, Mandeep Singh, Prabsimran Singh, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Sarfaraz Khan, Deepak Hooda, Murugan Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi, Harpreet Brar, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Ishan Porel, Darshan Nalkande, Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan, Jhye Richardson, Shahrukh Khan, Riley Meredith, Moises Henriques, Jalaj Saxena, Utkarsh Singh, Fabian Allen, Saurabh Kumar.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Punjab Kings (formerly known as Kings XI Punjab) and Rajasthan Royals have faced each other 21 times in the IPL. Punjab have won 9 matches while Rajasthan have won on 12 occasions.

PREDICTION:

Wankhede brings in a surface a batsman enjoys and both the teams with hardcore strikers will want to start off on a high. As much as this should be a well-fought competition, Punjab are the likely winners.
