Alexis Sanchez joins Man Utd, swaps with Henrikh Mkitaryan in Arsenal

Manchester United successfully signed Alexis Sanchez as Henrikh Mkitaryan joined Arsenal in a high profile swap deal.
Sanchez nearly moved at Etihad Stadium to play for Manchester City last summer, but later decided to sign a four-year-and-a-half-year deal with United.
Sanchez has scored 80 times for Arsenal since joining from Barcelona for £30m in July 2014, and was last season’s top scorer with 30 goals in all competitions (catch United’s upcoming match and standby for the best betting tips on Sportsbook).
“I am thrilled to be joining the biggest club in the world,” said Sanchez. “The chance to play in this historic stadium and to work with Jose Mourinho was something I could not turn down.
“I am very proud to be the first Chilean player ever to play for United’s first team, and I hope I can show our fans all around the world why the club wanted to bring me here.”
Prior the Chilean’s final decision, Pep Guardiola’s City has suddenly withdrawn their interest over the former Arsenal star saying that the club cannot go beyond the asking price of Sanchez.
On the other hand, Mkitaryan moved in the opposite direction after scoring 13 goals in 63 appearances for his previous club, Manchester United. His last appearance for the club was in the FA Cup third-round win over Derby on January 5.
The Armenia international left Borussia Dortmund to join Jose Mourinho’s squad at Old Trafford for a deal amounting to £26.3 million in July 2016 (Sign Up on 12BET for more transfer scoops).
In an interview, the 29-year-old said, “I’m very happy that we could finish this deal,” expressed Mkhitaryan. “It’s a dream come true because I’ve always dreamed of playing for Arsenal. Now I’m here, I’ll do my best for this club to create history.”
