From September 20 to October 10, four privately owned franchises will play in the second Legends League Cricket tournament in Oman. Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn, two legendary former players from South Africa, have said that they will compete this year.
Steyn, who was one of the best fast bowlers of his time, said that the list of competitors is incredible. Kallis, who is one of the best all-rounders of all time, said that he is happy to be in the competition and is excited to play with other legends. The first Legends League cricket was played between three teams: India, Asia, and the Rest of the World.

“It’s great to be a part of LLC and play in the league’s second season. I’m looking forward to playing with other legends on the field,” Kallis said. Steyn, on the other hand, said, “It’s amazing how many players are there. We’ll have a great time.”
The league will have former players from Australia, England, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Virender Sehwag, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Monty Panesar, Asghar Afghan, Liam Plunkett, Joginder Sharma, Tillakaratne Dilshan, and many others with big names will be competing.
Raman Raheja, co-founder, and chief executive officer of Legends League Cricket, said that having legends like Steyn and Kallis on the field would add more excitement and “firepower” to the game and make it more fun to watch.
“Legendary players like Kallis and Steyn will bring more action and firepower to the field, which will be fun to watch. We’re glad to have them as part of the Legends family and can’t wait to see them work their magic on the field and put on a show,” Raheja said.
Kallis is thought to be one of the best cricketers of all time because he scored over 10,000 runs in both Tests and ODIs and took over 250 wickets in both. Steyn is another famous South African cricket player. He has taken 439 wickets in Tests, with an average of 22.95, and has 26 five-wicket hauls.
