Dinesh Karthik Feels That Virat Kohli Will Make A Strong Comeback After The Break

Dinesh Karthik, an Indian wicketkeeper, thinks that Virat Kohli will get back on track and says that a player of his calibre should never be given up on. Kohli has been having a hard time lately. Since November 2019, he hasn’t hit a century.
The 33-year-old had trouble on the last trip to England, which led to talk that he might be taken off the team. Kohli hasn’t scored a hundred in 79 international games, but many former and current players from all over the world have backed him. Recently, Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian team, backed Kohli, and now Karthik has done the same.
Karthik thinks that since Kohli won’t be playing on the West Indies tour, the 33-year-old will get a good rest and be ready to play when he comes back to the team. “Virat has had a crazy amount of success over the years. Now he will get a good break. When he comes back, he will be fresh and ready to go, and hopefully, he will do very well. A player of his calibre is hard to count out,” Karthik told The Times of India.

Karthik somehow got back into the Indian team, but it wasn’t a miracle. He proved his worth with the bat and earned his spot back. This year, the 37-year-old played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and had some great knocks. He became a key part of the lineup for every game.
Karthik also praised the depth of the Indian team. He also talked about his own comeback and said that, even though it was hard, he worked hard for it.
“It’s never easy, but I’ve worked hard to get where I am. Also, given how strong our bench is right now, competition will always be a part of it. This is what’s great about Indian cricket,” Karthik said.
The wicketkeeper has a good chance of being in the middle of things at the T20 World Cup in Australia next year. Karthik said that the group is getting ready for the challenges of the event and that people have been very helpful.
“As a team, we’re getting ready for the challenges we’ll face at the World Cup. As we get ready for the big event, coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma have kept everyone in the loop. It’s a very good place to be,” he said.
