EPL Week 5: Online Betting Preview

EPL Week 5: Online Betting Preview

Subtle trends are emerging in the points table, as the EPL enters its fifth game week. Manchester City is trying to surge ahead, followed by Chelsea and, err, Everton. City are likely to consolidate the position, as they have an easy home fixture against Bournemouth. But the team will be fatigued following the mid-week Champions League fixture. The situation is the same for some of the other teams as well, such as Manchester United, Arsenal, Leicester City and Tottenham. One has to consider the midweek fixtures into account while picking the online betting odds.

Well, here are the matches of the weekend.

Marquee match

It is the first match of the game week: Chelsea vs Liverpool. It will be an early kick-off. None of these teams have had mid-week matches. They will be relatively fresh. The momentum will be with Liverpool, as they thrashed champions Leicester City at home last week. Chelsea nearly lost against Swansea last week, if not for a late goal from Diego Costa that helped the team secure a hard-fought draw. But they are playing at home and Livepool defence’s vulnerability in the second half is quite well known by now. If Chelsea can prevent an early Liverpool goal, they would win half the battle. Liverpool generally play better against the big teams. But they have a huge task against Chelsea. They will be more than happy to settle for an away draw against Chelsea.

Smart Onlne betting picks

There are not many battles of equals on this weekend at the Premier League. All the big teams have relatively easy rivals. Still, there is scope for an upset, especially after the big teams’ mid-week fixtures. If you are ready for a bit of a gamble with online betting @ 12 bet, check out the following games: Hull City vs Arsenal on Saturday and Watford vs Manchester United.

Both these teams are playing away from home and have had mid-week European fixtures. Arsenal could just manage a draw against Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League, while Manchester United lost 1-0 against Feyenoord in the Europa League. A loss for these teams or even a draw has attractive odds for online betting. It is worth trying out.

Both Hull City and Watford have played enterprising football. They ran hard and showed attacking intent. Player to player, these teams may not match with their highly fancied opponents. Still, if there is a good time to face Arsenal or United, it is this weekend.
