Marquee Match of the Week

It has to be Arsenal vs Chelsea. Arsenal are coming into the match after three straight wins. Chelsea suffered their first loss of the season in the EPL last week against Liverpool. Arsenal will have a slight psychological edge, and they have the home support too. But the recent history is against the gunners. The last time Arsenal defeated Chelsea in the Premier League was in 2011. The head to head record during the last seven years between these two sides reads like this: 18 matches, Chelsea won 11; Arsenal won four and three matches were drawn. There are no major injury concerns for either team. There are good chances – and attractive odds in online betting – for a Chelsea win.

Smart betting picks of the Week

The smartest pick would be Manchester United vs Leicester City. United are playing at home and are trying hard to come out of a particularly lean patch that saw them losing three games in a row. Neutrals will be hoping for a Leicester win just to see the spectrum of emotions and increasingly comic outbursts from Mourinho. Wayne Rooney and Paul Pogba are under pressure to perform too. On the other hand, Leicester have awakened from their last season’s dream run. They are still searching for their first away win. United still have the upper hand. But a draw also has a high probability.

The other interesting matches, in an online betting point of view, are Liverpool vs Hull City and Swansea City vs Manchester City. Liverpool are the favourties against Hull. But they tend to freeze against weaker teams, especially at Anfield. Check out the odds of online betting for a 2-2 draw.

Man City are the overwhelming favourites against Swansea. However, the law of averages must catch with City, who have won all their matches in the Premier League so far. Swansea appear a good opponent to snap Manchester City’s winning streak.
