Arsenal vs Swansea City
West Brom vs Tottenham
Stoke City vs Sunderland
Bournemouth vs Hull City
Manchester City vs Everton
Crystal Palace vs West Ham

18 October

Liverpool vs Manchester United

Marquee match of the week

When Liverpool play against Manchester United, everything else moves to the background. Such is the history and passion associated with the rivalry. Add to it, the hatred of Liverpool fans towards Jose United coach Jose Mourinho. Liverpool fans would want a thumping win on Monday night. It is not going to be easy for Liverpool, though. They are coming into this match after four straight wins in the Premier League. But their recent H2H record against United does not inspire much confidence. They have lost seven and won just two of the last 12 matches against Man U.

Manchester United possess an array of attacking talents. But the results have not start flowing to justify the rich potential they have. In Zlatan ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and  Anthony Martial, they have players to exploit the lapses in concentration of Liverpool defence. Liverpool will once again try to unleash a blitzkrieg in the opening minutes and gain an early lead. Gini Wijnaldum is battling an injury and is unlikely to play. Liverpool have a ready replacement in Emre Can.

Prediction: Manchester United look poised to upset Liverpool’s winning streak. The odds of a Man United win is attractive in online betting as well.

Other top picks

Chelsea take on Leicester City at home and Manchester City welcome Everton in other top fixtures of the weekend. Leicester have clearly lost the form and zing they had last year. They have managed just eight points from seven matches.  Goals are not coming for them as easily as they did last year. Chelsea have not played consistently well either. Still, Chelsea will be the favourites to win this fixture.

A more evenly matched contest is on offer at Etihad Stadium which hosts Man City vs Everton fixture. Everton have been hardworking and tenacious so far in the season, even though the results of the last two matches must have lowered their confidence. Manchester City’s attack will test Everton’s resilience. Everton will take a draw as an achievement.

There are some other matches with interesting odds for online betting. Crystal Palace vs West Ham is one such. And Middlesbrough’s home match against Watford is another. It is worth checking out of the odds for West Ham win and Watford win at 12 bet.
