Daniel Sturridge scores but goes off injured

Daniel Sturridge came on as 67th minute substitute but had to leave the pitch after scoring 20 minutes later due to thigh injury in the Audi Cup.
The 27-year-old helped the Reds lift victory in 3-0 win over Bayern Munich as he raced to chip the ball past the opposition’s goal keeper.
In a statement of Jurgen Klopp, he said, “I can’t say [the extent]but he hurt his thigh,” said Klopp after the win that set up a final against Atlético Madrid on Wednesday (for best betting odds, check out 12BET sportsbook). “He has prepared really well and I just hope it’s only a small injury and he can play again soon. His goal was really great and he had another chance before that. You could see how fast he is. It is a shame and I just hope it is nothing serious.”
The England striker later assured supporters that he will be just fine and insisted that the incident is probably just caused by fatigue.
“I’m feeling the best I’ve felt for a while,” Sturridge said. “I’m looking forward to the season and hopefully we can have some success this season as well.”
