Reports have circulated suggesting that France international Paul Pogba could be ruled out for 12 weeks after picking up hamstring injury in the club’s victory over Basel during the Champions League on Tuesday.

But Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho denied the news and claimed that he still does not know how serious Pogba’s injury is.

“I don’t know if it’s 12 weeks, or 12 days. Honestly, any comment, any view, any rumor is totally wrong because we do not know if it’s 12 weeks or 12 days.

“It’s a muscular injury in the hamstring but we have a normal procedure and wait a few more days. It’s completely nonsense information.”

However, there is one thing certain. The former Juventus player will not be joining his new team in the England League Cup against Burton Albion on the 21that Old Trafford and unlikely to recover in time to face Southampton in the domestic league game on weekend (check out the best betting odds of the coming duels).
