The Reds took the lead through Emre Can who netted at the 10th minute after kick off. Shortly, Mohamed Sala doubled Liverpool’s score by powering home. And given the right time, Can struck again which caused disappointment to their rival.
As a result, the German side was forced to reply with a goal that was slotted by Mark Uth. However, it didn’t take long before Klopp’s squad stole the show through Roberto Firmino by sending the ball past the visitors’ goal keeper.
At the late minutes, Sandro Wagner reduced the goal deficit after a perfect penalty shot that went into the left-hand portion of the net. But Wagner’s efforts were not enough to beat Klopp’s men.
It was a tough 90-minute match but Liverpool were in the front foot until the final whistle. They dominated and ended the game with high spirits.
