Newcastle defender DeAndre Yedlin out with hamstring injury

Newcastle United F.C. defender DeAndre Yedlin will miss out the opening Premier League season on August 13 against Tottenham Hotspur F.C at St James’ Park, Newcastle, England.
Newcastle boss revealed that Yedlin suffered a hamstring injury in friendly game against FSV Mainz 05 and will be out for up to three weeks.
“We think it’s two or three weeks that he will be out,” said Benitez
Meaning, the injury of Yedlin could put his play in the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers in jeopardy.
Right now, manager Benitez will have to choose between new signing Javier Manquillo, who signed from Atletico Madrid last month, and Chancel Mbemba for the fixture.
Manquillo is a specialist right-back and impressed in 3-1 win over VfL Wolfsburg at AOK Stadion.
It was Aleksandar Mitrovic, Matt Ritchie and Christian Atsu who netted for Newcastle against Wolfsburg.
