Despite Arsene Wenger’s reluctance to sell Alexis Sanchez, the Chilean himself is keen on move to be reunited with former boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

The 28-year-old’s potential transfer would mean strengthening Arsenal’s Premier League rival, should he choose to depart from current team.

According to reports, the Chile striker has earlier demanded a pay hike to stay at the Gunners.

He said, “My agent will see to it. He knows and will sit down with the club to see what is best.”

Amidst Arsenal’s apprehensions, the talks are currently in full swing and Guardiola is mostly positive to sign the £50m- rated star following the club’s acquisition of Benfica keeper Ederson Moraes who sealed a £35m contract.

It is believed that Etihad manager is targeting to sign at least a total of five players before the season restarts.  Among the candidates are Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy, and Ryan Bertrand.

Man City are also expected to closed deal with Juventus right-back Dani Alaves sooner after his contract has been terminated.

According to reports, Alaves wanted an additional year in Turin but was denied which later paved way for his desire to commit his future away from the Juventus.
