Real Madrid C.F. wrapped up their final pre-season US tour friendly with a win against Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Stars at Soldier Field, Chicago Illinois.
Both teams battled to a 1-1 score card at the end of regulation but Real Madrid was the lucky team to survive the entertaining penalty shoot-out to 4-2 in front of 61,428 sellout crowd.
Meanwhile, manager Zinedine Zidane seems unhappy with his club despite of the victory they got in their last friendly game.
Going back, the Los Blancos lost their first three preseason matches in the International Champions Cup prior to their victory to MLS.
As we continue to provide the best Soccer Betting Tips, in the preseason opener, Madrid lost on penalties to Manchester United before falling to Manchester City with 4-1 and 3-2 against FC Barcelona.
“The sensation overall is not good. It’s good that we got the result, but the sensation is not positive overall. We only won one out of four games.” Zidane said
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo missed the whole preseason friendly game but according to Zidane, the club’s superstar “needed to rest and have his holidays after a long year.”
Moving forward, the La Liga and Champions League titleholders are geared up for the UEFA Super Cup and will try to carry some momentum over Manchester United next week, August 9, 2:45 AM (Philippine Standard Time) at Phillip II Arena, Skopje Macedonia.
“The tour is done, now we have four days to go back and prepare for the [UEFA] Super Cup, which is our first official match, and obviously we have some things to work out.” Zidane added
