Arsenal have announced that defender Sead Kolasinac is set to join Arsene Wenger’s squad whose contract at Schalke is soon set to expire.

In an official statement of the Royal Blues, “Sead Kolasinac will complete a move to Arsenal FC upon the expiry of his contract on 30th of June 2017,” the German club revealed and furthered, “the reigning FA Cup winners, who finished fifth in the 2016-17 Premier League campaign, have agreed a deal with the 23-year-old left back which runs until 22.”

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international who becomes Wenger’s first summer signing on a free transfer has attracted interest from across different Leagues. Everton, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Milan have all dropped hints of wanting the young player to join their respective coaching club. But the Germany-born star has taken the opportunity to join the Gunners.

On a different note, Kolasinac who made more than 100 appearances for the Bundesliga club sparked doubts on the future of Kieran Gibbs who has yet to negotiate new terms at the Emirates.
