Harbhajan Singh Makes Strong Comment On His Relationship With MS Dhoni
Harbhajan Singh has finally given a statement about his relationship with MS Dhoni, with the IPL 2021 season behind us. There has been various speculations that Harbhajan Singh is not on good terms with MS Dhoni. However, the legendary off spinner has not agreed with this point of view of his fans. Rather Bhajji has jokingly said that he is not married to MS Dhoni. He has also mentioned MS Dhoni as a good friend over the last few years.
Harbhajan Singh has also played for Chennai Super Kings in the meantime under the leadership of MS Dhoni. He has been an integral member of two World Cup winning squads of Indian Cricket Team in 2007 and 2011, showcasing great live cricket. However, he has lost his place from the Indian Cricket Team following the inclusion of Ravichandran Ashwin in the side.
Ravichandran Ashwin has been given preference ahead of him and Harbhajan Singh does not believe that decision is taken alone by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former captain of Indian Cricket Team.
The Comments Made By Harbhajan Singh On The Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni
According to Harbhajan, the selectors and the BCCI are responsible for his omission from Indian Cricket Team post 2012. He has also raised an important question regarding this. The players of the team which won the World Cup in 2011 have not played together since the World Cup.
Only few players have been able to retain their place in the starting XI of team India for the World Cup in 2015. The players like Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh have been actively playing for their respective IPL franchises during those years. So, it was certainly a harsh call for all of them as they were not given enough reasons for the omission from the team.
According to some rumours, Mahendra Singh Dhoni along with the team management did not want many senior players to be part of the World Cup squad in 2015 as the World Cup was proposed to be held in Australia. The grounds in Australia are bigger in comparison to the grounds in India. So, the team management has wished to have more young players in the squad in order to improve the level of fielding in the bigger grounds of Australia.
Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh gave an epic answer via Cricketnext.com when he was asked about his rapport with former India captain MS Dhoni, “Very nice. Am not married to him! See, everyone interprets a quote differently. Just wanted to convey that a lot of things could have been better post 2012.”
“(Virender) Sehwag, me, Yuvraj (Singh), (Gautam) Gambhir could have retired playing for Indian team since all of them were active in IPL as well. It is ironical that the Champions of the 2011 team never played together again! Why? Only few of them played in 2015 World Cup, why?”
Harbhajan added he doesn’t have any complaints against Dhoni and referred to the legendary wicketkeeper-batter as a “good friend”.
“I have no complaints against MS. In fact, he has been a good friend all these years.”

The former off-spinner who is among the four Indians to have taken more than 400 Test wickets. He said the selectors at that time “did not do justice” to their roles
“I have complaint to the BCCI, the sarkar (government) of that time. I call BCCI as sarkar. The selectors of that time didn’t do justice to their roles. They did not allow the team to be united. What was the point of bringing in new guys when the greats were still around and delivering? I once confronted the selectors on this and their reply was it wasn’t in their hands and then I asked why they are the selectors, then?” he added.
Harbhajan Singh has already announced his retirement from International Cricket and he might join Kolkata Knight Riders as a mentor. The huge experience of Harbhajan Singh in International Cricket will surely help the franchise in the upcoming season. Harbhajan Singh has asked the selectors to tell him the reason for his omission. The selectors have told him that they do not have full control over the selection of the players. The legendary off spinner has again jokingly asked why they have become selectors then.
