India vs. New Zealand Fourth ODI: Cricket Betting Preview

India vs. New Zealand Fourth ODI: Cricket Betting Preview

The crucial fourth ODI between India and New Zealand will be held tomorrow at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi. India are leading the series, following the thumping seven-wicket win in Mohali in the third ODI. The signs are looking ominous for New Zealand with both Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni finding form in the match. With Kohli in especially good form, it would not be wise to go against India in cricket betting. Moreover, India have not lost a single match in Ranchi, Dhoni’s home ground. New Zealand will have to produce their best effort to keep the series alive till the fifth ODI. Sometimes, even their best may not suffice.

Preview – India

Indian selectors have decided to prolong the rest of R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Sami. Suresh Raina too has not recovered from the illness. That means India will field an unchanged eleven. Axar Patel and Amit Mishra will be the lead spinners. The surprise package Kedar Jadhav will strive to enhance his growing reputation as a wicket-taker. For the record, the pitch in Ranchi will assist spinners.

Even though India are leading the series, their batting has not clicked. Apart from Kohli and Dhoni, none of the frontline batsmen managed to make a big score. The Indian top order is due for a killer show.

Preview – New Zealand

There have been controversies in the New Zealand camp following the publication of Brendon McCullum’s autobiography, Declared. There are some damning disclosures about New Zealand cricket, especially about Ross Taylor. Taylor has an excellent opportunity to respond to the allegations, with his bat of course. On current form, even the most adventurous practitioners of cricket betting will place money on Taylor to come good. He has been lacklustre with the bat throughout the series. In the last match, he dropped Virat Kohli at the early stage of the innings, which could have turned the match in New Zealand’s favour.

Prediction

New Zealand are not short on effort. The problem for them is that India are better in home conditions. India will be, and must be, the overwhelming favourites to win this match in cricket betting.
