Liverpool Philippe Coutinho hits hat-trick in 7-0 against Spartak Moscow

Philippe Coutinho scored a hat-trick as Liverpool smashed Spartak Moscow in 7-0 encounter in the Champions League to advance into the knockout stages as group winners.
Coutinho managed to open scoring through a penalty at the early stage of the game. In a span of few minutes, the Brazilian powered home Liverpool’s second goal past the hapless goal keeper Alexander Selikhov.
Three minutes later, Roberto Firmino ensured that his side will dominate in the first half after scoring the team’s third.
As the game resumed, Sadio Mane was quick to tuck home before Coutinho finally marked his hat-trick.
Two more points were added as Mane and Mohamed Salah quick fired their respective goals to cap off the clash in lovely 7-0 point.
Star player Coutinho said in a statement, “It was a very special night.
“I was very happy with my goals and the performance. It was special to be captain—I think it was my first time here,” he said after having had the opportunity to be given the captain’s armband.
Reflecting on his hat-trick, the 25-year-old midfielder said, “In the Champions League I think it’s my first one. I’ve scored a hat trick with Brazil, but this is important as well.”
