Pakistan vs. West Indies Third T20: Cricket Betting Preview
The third and final T20 match between Pakistan and West Indies is on tomorrow at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Pakistan defied all expectations and won the first two matches of the series. More than the score line, the facile nature of the win is the most perplexing aspect to fans and cricket betting analysts. West Indies batsmen find the the low and slow surface at Abu Dhabi, and an assortment of Pakistani bowlers operating on it, too hot to handle. None of their batsmen managed to get going and Pakistan won both the matches comfortably. The West Indian team will be looking for a turnaround. Pakistan, on the other hand, will be eyeing a clean sweep.
Preview – Pakistan
Pakistan managed to stifle the big hitters in the West Inides line up completely. In the first match, Imad Wasim wrecked havoc with his left arm spin. In the second match, Sohail Tanvir did his bit by varying his pace cleverly. On both the occasions, West Indies top order folded up without offering much resistance.
While the bowling was top class, the batting looks a bit conventional. Lack of firepower is still a cause of concern. Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and opener Khalid Latif appear to be in fine touch. Veterans Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik are capable contributors in these conditions.
Preview – West Indies
West Indies did not produce a performance befitting the status of world champions. Whoever have placed a bet in favour of Pakistan in online betting, had a field day.
West Indies bowled reasonably well in the second match to restrict Pakistan to a manageable total. However, their top order failed again. It is not easy to hit through the line and fetch sixes on a consistent basis on low and slow pitches in the desert country. A strong back foot game is required to flourish in such conditions. At the moment, none of the West Indian batters seem capable of making a substantial contribution with the bat. The batsmen need to spend some time in the middle, before going for the big shots. Unless they learn this lesson, a 3-0 drubbing is on the cards.
Prediction
It is advantage Pakistan at the moment. But tread carefully in cricket betting. If a couple West Indian power hitters find their range, Pakistan will be in trouble.
