Rescheduled Pakistan-West Indies ODI Series to go ahead in June

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the new schedule for the postponed ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League matches against the West Indies will be on June 9 to 12. All three matches will take place in Rawalpindi, with the visitors arriving in Pakistan on June 5. This series determines the place at the first seven spots that will directly qualify for the 2023 World Cup. More cricket live score here!

“Rawalpindi will host the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League matches against the West Indies at the Pindi Cricket Stadium from June 8-12,” the Pakistan Cricket Board announced. “The West Indies have also agreed to play three T20Is in early 2023, the schedule of which will be announced in due course,” the announcement added. This series was supposed to be played last year but it was postponed for a year after the outbreak of COVID-19 infection among the West Indies camp. These teams were only able to play the three-match T20 International series in 2021 before the PCB and Cricket West Indies mutually agreed to postpone the series to avoid any further risk of infection.

Babar Azam’s had won the three-match T20I series against the West Indies at home. Pakistan is currently preparing for three ODIs and a T20I clash against Australia. The ODI series will run from 29th March 2022 and to 2nd April 2022, while the only T20I match of the series will be played on 5th April 2022. The World Cup is scheduled to be held in the months of October and November 2023 in india.

June 8: 1st ODI, Rawalpindi.

June 10: 2nd ODI, Rawalpindi.

June 12: 3rd ODI, Rawalpindi.
