Marquee matches of the midweek

Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid

The most eagerly anticipated match of this phase will be Real Madrid’s trip to Dortmund. The German side is in red-hot form and they are playing at home. Real have not been in the best of form in recent times. The recent public show of disagreement between manager Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo has triggered a wave of rumours. Meanwhile Ronaldo is just three short of the 100th goal in the UEFA Championship. What are the odds of online betting in him achieving that landmark with hattrick against Dortmund? For the record, Ronaldo has scored three goals so far against Dortmund. Real Madrid have a slight edge of four against three in the H2H rating. But they have not yet scored an away win over Dortmund.

Atlético Madrid vs Bayern Munich

Another interesting prospect is Bayern Munich’s trip to Madrid. Atletico have slowly coming into the their top form in the La Liga, while Bayern Munich are having their usual stroll in the park in the Bundesliga. These two teams have met in the last season as well, in the semi-final. Atletico won the home match 1-0 and scored an away goal in the 2-1 defeat and advanced to the final by virtue of the away goal. So this is kind of revenge match for Bayern. The German team is stronger on paper, while the Spanish team has the advantage of playing at home. A draw must be a prime candidate for online betting.
