Bhogle could only laugh, looking at Pant steal the spotlight once again. It was because of combined efforts of Pant, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravichandran Ashwin and Rohit Sharma that India managed to win the fourth Test match by an innings and 25 runs. While Ravichandran Ashwin bagged his eighth man of the series award, Pant was awarded with the man of the match.

We were in a tough situation at 146-6 and there is nothing better than performing when the team needs you the most. If I get the chance to reverse-flick a fast bowler again, I definitely would.”
