Yuvraj Singh will serve as the mentor for New York Strikers in Abu Dhabi T10 League

India’s veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been asked to be a mentor for the New York Strikers in the Abu Dhabi T10 in 2022. Yuvraj has played in the Abu Dhabi T10 league before. He played for the Maratha Arabians in the 2019 season.

Yuvraj Singh said in June 2019 that he was retiring from international cricket. Since then, he has tried to make a name for himself in a few global franchise tournaments, with permission from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He also takes part in tournaments for cricket legends and icons who have retired.

In terms of the Abu Dhabi T10 2022, the New York Strikers have signed players like Kieron Pollard, an all-rounder from the Caribbean, and Eoin Morgan, the captain of England’s team that won the World Cup in 2019. Paul Stirling, an Irish big hitter, and Azam Khan, from Pakistan, are two other players the team has signed.

“In white-ball cricket, Kieron Pollard and Eoin Morgan are two of the most famous players. Both are very dangerous players, and we are sure that their ability to lead will be very important for our camp in the future. Both Pollard and Morgan make the other team nervous, which is a good thing,” said franchise owner Sagar Khanna on star signings.

On November 23, 2022, the Abu Dhabi T10 league season will begin. The New York Strikers are the second team from the United States to take part in the competition, after Morrisville SAMP Army.

“I’m happy to have the New York Strikers team from the United States join our Abu Dhabi T10 family. Our goal was to make the Abu Dhabi T10 one of the most important events on the international cricket calendar and to increase the 342 million people who watch cricket on TV around the world,” said Shaji-ul-Mulk, Chairman, T10 Sports Management as quoted by My Khel.
