Rafael Nadal wins the US Open title over Kevin Anderson

World Number one Rafael Nadal captured his 16th Grand Slam championship with a one-sided victory to won his third US Open at Flushing Meadows, New York.

Nadal defeated Kevin Anderson of South Africa with a pleasant 6-3, 6-3, and 6-4 triumph in the final round of the tournament to add the titles he won in 2010 and 2013.

“It’s just unbelievable what happened this year. After a couple of years with some troubles, injuries, sometimes playing not good – since the beginning of the season it has been very, very emotional. It’s been a very special two weeks for me. Winning here in New York gives me great energy, because the crowd is unbelievable. They make me feel so happy.” Nadal said

The 31-year-old top-ranked Spaniard prevailed in two-hours and 27 minutes of thrilling action on Arthur Ashe Stadium over Anderson. (Check 12BET for the best Free Betting Tips)

Nadal also congratulated the South African for his great effort in the competition and for being a good example.

“Before I talk about me, I want to say congrats to Kevin. He’s a great example for a lot of kids and the rest of the tour to come back better than ever.” The Spaniard added

Meanwhile, Roger Federer still remains at the top of the men’s all-time Grand Slam list with 19 Grand Slam titles while Nadal with 16, who has won 10 French Open, three US Open, two Wimbledon championships and one Australian title.
